Thailand NBTC / TISI Certification Guide
NBTC governs all wireless products; TISI governs mains-powered products on the compulsory list. Thailand is the second-largest Southeast Asian export market for Chinese electronics, and certification requires a local Thailand agent.
Thailand Certification System Overview
| Certification | Regulator | Jurisdiction | Mandatory |
|---|---|---|---|
| NBTC | National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission | All products with wireless transmitters | Mandatory |
| TISI | Thai Industrial Standards Institute | Mains-powered products on the compulsory list | Mandatory |
| Energy efficiency label | EGAT / DEDE | Home appliances, lighting products | Partially mandatory |
NBTC Wireless Certification
Products with wireless transmitting functions such as WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC and Zigbee must obtain NBTC certification. This covers almost all consumer wireless products.

TISI Safety Certification
TISI is Thailand's mandatory safety certification, similar to China's CCC. Only mains-powered products on the compulsory list require it — DC low-voltage products are excluded.
